Omni-Reacto Station Accessories:

Five Reaction Vessels Available: Standard Thermocouple Pocket, Pressurized, Small or Large Volume Crystallization

Precision made Reaction Vessels feature a thick uniform wall, designed for safely and durability, while maintaining necessary heat transfer. Available in six types for many applications. The standard Reaction Vessels are used for general applications in the laboratory. The Thermocouple Pocketed Reaction Vessels are designed for finer monitoring and controlling of the temperature. The baffled reaction vessels are designed for improved mixing. The Pressurized Reaction Vessels are designed for higher pressure chemical reactions and can withstand pressure up to 60 psi.

Two types of tubes are available for crystallization - small and large volumes. The crystallization tubes have dimples protruding from the bottom of the tube to minimize grinding of the crystals.

Reaction Vessel Caps

Three types of caps are available; standard, standard cap with sensor inlet and high pressure caps. The standard cap consists of dual directional open/close valves for individual control of the reaction vessel and are designed from PTFE so they are highly resistant to harsh chemical environment. The standard cap with sensor inlets is designed to accommodate a sensor probe into the reaction vessel. The pressurized caps are designed for use with the higher pressure reaction vessels. They can withstand pressures up to 60 psi.

Liquid Cooled Reflux Heads

Efficient condensing and refluxing, for samples up to 25 ml is provided through the use of a liquid cooled aluminium reflux head. Cooling is introduced through the inlet/outlet ports. Individual reaction positions are numbered (1 - 10) for ease of tube and sample identification. A central gas inlet/outlet port combined with the gas-tight PTFE caps allow for a vacuum to be pulled and/or inert (nitrogen) to be ported into each individual tube.

Stirring Bars

Six types of stirring bars are available; cross shaped, elliptical and octagonal. The rare earth medium cross shaped stirring bars create a deep vortex and are ideal for stirring resins and more viscous solutions. While the octagonal stirring bars are the general purpose stirring bars. The elliptical and double cross are designed for crystallization.

Two Magnetic Stir Bar Retriever

Both designed for easy removal of stir bars from flasks. The hand-held magnetic bar retriever is ideal for use when you don't want to place a stir bar retriever into your sample.

Cooling Plug

Patented unique liquid cooling plug allow unit to cool down to -30 °C: greatly expanding the types of chemistry you can perform with this equipment !!!. The cooling plug is simple to use; insert the cooling plug into the reaction block, attach cooling lines to the inlet/outlet via quick disconnects. No longer a need to put up with the mess from melting ice.

Rotary Evaporator Adapters

Choice of three adapter types ; standard, high boiling point and filtered adapters. The standard adapters are excellent for using with standard chemical applications. For high boiling solvents we recommend ordering the high boiling adapters. If you are evaporating fine powders we recommend using the filtered rotary evaporator adapter. All three types of adapters are compatible with Buchi, IKA and Heidolph Rotary Evaporators.

Separatory Funnel Head

Easy to use design; simply attach to the top of your reaction vessel. This design eliminates the need to transfer your reaction to a separatory funnel. This funnel head is constructed of inert plastic extending the range of use. Ultra fine separation can be conducted using the viewing window located on the separatory funnel head.

Mini Glass Condenser Columns

Glass condenser columns are ideal for viewing the reaction within each of the reaction vessel. Water is introduced into each of the columns before flowing onto the next column.

Filtration Adapter

The filtration adapter can be used in conjunction with or without vacuum. Disposable filters of most types can be used. The adapters is provided with a control tap for easy use.
